I am delighted that you have expressed an interest in working for Focus.
Whilst we face the same challenges as other adult social care organisations, we believe that being an Independent Social Work Practice provides us with unique opportunities to be more flexible and creative in our approach. This benefits the people who use our services, their families and carers, and also our staff.

Focus is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company that works in partnership with the Local Authority to deliver the statutory Social Work duties and functions in North East Lincolnshire. Focus is a members led organisation, with all staff having the right to join and have their say in how the company is run. The majority of directors on the Board are employees, elected by their colleagues.
We are currently enhancing and expanding our training and development opportunities for all staff to reflect a dedicated academy approach that will support people to reach their full potential within the organisation, regardless of whether they work in an administrative role or are a qualified social worker. We have already begun to enable staff who wish to develop their career in social work through apprenticeships and full-time university courses. The support we offer to student social workers on placement and newly qualified social workers joining the organisation is second to none.
